Menu Plan Monday

I didn't make an actual trip to the grocery store this weekend. My husband stopped for me on Friday and picked up what we needed for the weekend. This week, our menu pulls a lot from the freezer - making it an easy week.

Saturday afternoon, we had Turkey and fixings as we celebrated my daughter's 4th birthday. I made a Princess Doll Cake, which she loved! I will share that with you later this week. After carving my turkey, I used the carcass to make Turkey Soup, so I will be packing that in my lunch this week. It is such a nice meal for the cold weather that we have been having.

Turkey, besides the turkey that I roasted, makes an appearance in the menu in the Skyline Chili and the Spaghetti and Meatballs this week.

Sunday
cereal
leftovers
Skyline Chili

Monday
Leftover - turkey and all the fixings

Tuesday
Chicken Alfredo with Sun Dried Tomatoes

Wednesday
Spaghetti and Meatballs
Thursday
dinner out at our favorite local Mexican restaurant

Friday
Chicken Cheese Steaks, some Buffalo style

Saturday
cereal
sandwiches
Homemade Pizza

Weekdays breakfast is at daycare for my daughter, the rest of us eat cold cereal, frozen waffles, oatmeal, toast or whatever strikes our fancy. Lunch we pack, usually leftovers for me, although this week it will be homemade Turkey Soup.

CVS Scenarios - week of 11/7

There are a few deals that I am interested in checking out this week. I might need to rely on a few friends to get the coupons that I need for some of them, but we will see if I can pull them off.

Total $10.75 OOP, earn $5 ECBs. I don't know about you, but if I can get those items all for less the $1 each, it feels like a pretty good deal.

Total $4.99, pay with $5 ECB adjusted down and earn $3 ECBs.

Transaction #3

1 - Benefiber Orange powder

-$2 Theraflu mfg coupon

-$5 $5/$15 on select products, as indicated in ad

Total $6, pay with $3 ECB and $3 OOP.

For the day, the total OOP was $13.75 for $37.50 in product at sale prices - a savings of 63%. Now, if only I could get an e-mail coupon from CVS like everyone else, then I could make it an even better deal!

CVS Deals - 11/6

I didn't make it to CVS all week, until today. There were many things I was thinking about getting, but with only a few minutes, I elected to complete just one deal.

1 - Secret (travel size)
1 - Olay Body Wash

-$5 Olay Body Wash wyb Secret mfg coupon

Paid with $3 ECB and $.52 (all tax), earned $3 and $1 (green bag tag) ECBs.

I looked for a few items that I had rain checks for, but nothing seemed to be available. I considered the Halloween clearance, but nothing jumped out at me. One of my coworkers keeps candy on hand, so I might stop back next week to pick up a bag or two to donate to the community candy dish - since I have been known to occasionally partake.
