Rite Aid Deals - 3/22 & 3/24

Well, my Rite Aid deal didn't work out as well as I had hoped. My friend wound up not having that free bodywash wyb cleanser coupon. So, I wound up changing things up on the fly, substituting some of the body wash for razors and shaving cream. Then, when I rang out, rather than the Olay Buy One Get One 50% off applying the 50% off to the cheapest items, it applied it to the like items. As a result, my OOP was higher than expected.
Transaction #1
2 - Olay Body Wash
2 - Olay Cleanser
2 - Venus Razors
2 - Satin Care Shaving Cream
2 - Pantene Shampoo/conditioner

-$8.99 Olay Free Body Wash WYB Cleanser mfg coupon
-$4.49 Olay Free Body Wash WYB Cleasner mfg coupon
-$3 Olay Cleanser mfg coupon
-$2 Venus Razor mfg coupon
-$2 Venus Razor mfg coupon
-$1 $1/2 Satin Care mfg coupon
-$3 $3/2 Pantene mfg coupon

Total $27.17 plus tax, for a total of $30.53 OOP. Earned $10 +Up Reward and will submit for a $15 Gift Card.

My Rite Aid was out of the Banana Nut Crunch, so I had to head to another store Saturday to pick up that deal.
Transaction #2
4 - Banana Nut Crunch Cereal (@BOGO)

Total $10.58, pay with $10 +Up Reward and $.58 OOP.

For the two transactions, the total OOP was $31.11 (includes $3.36 tax) and I will get back a $15 gift card, for a net cost of $16.11 including tax. I took home $72.91 in product. A savings of 78%.

-$1 $1/2 Peeps IP

I was mostly sad that they didn't have the caramel ones that they mentioned on their site.

Drug Store Deals

It really was a quiet week for me and drugstore deals. I headed out to CVS and Rite Aid today, but left with very little.

CVS

1 - Hand Sanitizing Spray Pen

-FREE e-mail coupon from Twitter offer

Total $0 OOP.

I had hoped to pick up some rain check items, but they seemed to be out of everything that I was looking for.

Rite Aid

2 - Banana Nut Crunch

-$4 Up+ rewards from a prior visit

Total $.99 OOP.

I had headed there to pick up the Pepsi deal, but they didn't have many varieties, so I skipped it.

Hoping for more deals next week!

Rite Aid Deals - 10/17

Inspired by my trip on Saturday and the deals that were available again this week, I made a quick run to Rite Aid on Sunday night. I talked to the shift manager (or was it supervisor?) as I was shopping, trying to confirm what coupons I could and could not use together. Surprisingly, there were things I didn't think I could do that he told me I could. He explained that it was all in the presentation. Making sure to use $/$$ coupons first, then any $ off coupons, then any BOGO coupons - this would allow me to maximize my savings. He confirmed that I could use an ad coupon and a manufacturer coupon, or a video value coupon with a manufacturer coupon.

Armed with that info, I headed to the register and the cashier was super helpful as well.

Transaction #1
2 - Old Spice Red Zone Body Wash
1 - Simply Saline
1 - Simply Saline Children Cold

-$4.49 Old Spice Buy One Deodorant Get One Body Spray mfg coupon

-$1 Video Value, any non-prescription purchase

Total $5.52 (plus tax, $6.37 total). Paid with $2 and $3 Up+ Rewards and $1.37 OOP. Earned $2 and $2 Up+ Rewards. Turns out that she didn't scan my Up+ Rewards card until after ringing my BOGO coupons, so she took off the shelf price instead of the sale price. I wasn't expecting the second Up+ Reward for the Body Spray, but evidently that is how it works at Rite Aid.

For the trip, my total OOP was $19.33. I have $4 in Up+ Rewards remaining and I will be submitting for $23.95 SCR. (So, would that be a profit of $8.62?) What a deal! Now I just need to make sure that I don't fail to spend my $4 in Up+ Rewards.

Rite Aid Deals 10/16

Realizing at the eleventh hour that Rite Aid had many cold relief products on a free after SCR offer this week, I headed out to Rite Aid after dinner on Saturday night. Surprisingly, they were only out of one of the items that I wanted. I asked about a rain check and was told that it wouldn't work. I am certain that I have gotten rain checks for weekly SCR deals - but wasn't going to argue.

Generally, I'm not a big fan of shopping at Rite Aid, because I have to "wait" for my reward and that means more money OOP up front. I know that I will get my money back and with Free after SCR and moneymakers, I'm a little more willing to play their drugstore game.

1 - Blistex Lip Ointment
1 - Neilmed Nasadock Plus
1 - Neilmed Nasa Mist

1 - Pediacare Gentle Vapors

1 - Slim Fast Shakes, 4 pk

-$5 $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon
-$1.50 NeilMed Peelie

Total $25.92 (plus tax, $27.90). I will submit this for SCRs in the amount of $35.43, a profit of $7.53 even with my after tax total. I think that there are supposed to be more cold relief on sale Free after SCR next week, so I will wait a little while to close my SCR for October.

Retail Therapy

I'm not sure what it was about today, but I did a lot of shopping. Some with the whole family, some with just my daughter and some on my own.

We started our trip at Kohl's. We had a $10 on $10 coupon that a friend had given us and a 20% off catalog. We wound up with a pair of shoes and a shirt for my son, a dress and a pair of shorts for my daughter, and 4 shirts for my husband.

We made a few other stops, including lunch at Steak 'n Shake, where we spent only $13.50, because the kids eat free on the weekend.

CVS
After dropping off my husband and son, my daughter and I headed to CVS.

Rite Aid

Our next stop was Rite Aid. Luckily before leaving, I had checked out the video value coupons and watched the one for Clearasil and I got a $3 coupon.

K-Mart

Next we drove to Kmart to take advantage of the Super Double Coupons and to get some Turkey! Unfortunately, I failed to read some coupons and had to put some stuff back because they were do not double and without doubling, it just didn't make sense. Also, the chest freezer where the Jennie-O Turkey is normally sold was completely empty. I asked about the unseasoned breast meat and the worker couldn't find any. He was able to find me some of the ground turkey, so I picked up some of that as well as a few other things.
(dairy and frozen were already put away)

We stopped home to drop off all of our frozen items and headed out to pick up pizza for dinner (not a stellar eating day, but it was easy!) and a quick stop at a grocery store.

Acme
Acme frequently features 2 day sales on the weekend. This weekend, they were having a special on Capri Sun 2/$3, since we like to freeze these and tuck them in our bag when we go to the park or a game, I couldn't pass up this sale. They also have their Berry Bonanza going on with all the berries at $1.48/pkg.

2 - Capri Sun (10pk)
5 - packs of assorted Berries
4 - bananas
1 - gallon milk
1 - 12pk Sunkist
1 - Powerade

Total $16.27 OOP.

After the kids were in bed and I realized that it was a day later than I thought, I headed out to use some coupons that were going to expire today.

Target
Target didn't have the wipes I was looking for, but I had some Target coupons that were expiring, so I picked up some deals.

2 - kids Band Aids

Giant Eagle

I headed to Giant Eagle to pick up some groceries, after all of the shopping today, I didn't want to think about going out tomorrow. I picked up yogurt for me (3 Greek yogurts) and for the kids (2 - 6pk Trix), burrito and soft taco shells, enchilada sauce and taco seasoning, lettuce, tomatoes, pablano peppers, and grapes, wipes, Snuggle dryer sheets, 2 tubes kids toothpaste, My total was $17.97 with a savings of $15.46 or 46% savings. I put $7.30 on a gift card and the remaining $10.67 OOP.

Walmart

Since I couldn't find the Huggies Pull-ups wipes anywhere and my coupons expired today, I headed out to Walmart before going home.

4 - Huggies Pull-Ups Wipes
3 - Pampers Wipes (for a friend)
1 - Welch's White Grape Juice
2 - Silly Bandz (some other brand, but those shaped rubber bands)

-$6 3x$2 Pampers Wipes mfg coupon
-$1 Welch's 100% Juice IP

Total $8.14 OOP.

It was a busy day for me. Aside from Kohl's and lunch, I spent $50.08 OOP (plus $60 on gift cards) for everything and saved $181.12 with coupons and sales. Not too bad. So, for only $50.08 cash OOP, I got $291.20 worth of product (83% savings). I will also be submitting for a $7.99 SCR and a free first aid kit with $15 in coupons, further increasing my savings.

Rite Aid Deals - 3/27

I headed down to Rite Aid to pick up some diapers. I still had a few of those $3 Huggies IP that were available a few weeks ago that are about to expire. Little did I know that they only recently started taking Internet coupons and they are supposed to be limited to one per transaction. They told me that if I split my transaction that I could use multiple IP, but I also had a $5/$25 that I wanted to use, so that wouldn't work. I asked if since they would take both on two transactions, could they just this once take them both on one transaction. They asked the manager and were told to go ahead this time. I was relieved, I didn't mean to be a troublemaker.

2 - Huggies Natural Fit Diapers

Rite Aid Deals - 1/16

I couldn't not pick up the Rite Aid deal on Huggies. I saw a lot of posts that combined the pull-up and wipe deal, but I didn't need wipes, so I spent a little more but got what I needed.

1 - Jumbo Pack Huggies Supreme Natural Diapers

-$5/$25 Rite Aid coupon
-$2 Pull Ups Mfg Coupon
-$2 Pull Ups Mfg Coupon

Rite Aid Deals - 10/14

I headed to a different Rite Aid location in search of some items that my store had been out of. I clearly wasn't thinking straight when I made my purchase because I put everything on one receipt and I had two items with manufacturer mail in rebate. Of course, I could go back and have them re-ring it, but that feels like more effort and time than the $2 it would gain me. So, I will only be submitting one MIR - Sucrets or Chapstick Shimmer - I don't suppose there is an advantage of one over the other.

Here is what I got:
22 oz Brach's Candy Corn (I love candy corn, has to be Brach's - it's made with honey which improves the flavor and texture compared to the other brands)
Chapstick True Shimmer Tropical
18 ct Sucrets Herbal Berry
21 ct Bee MD Honey Cough Drops.

I spent $9.93 and my SCR from this purchase is worth 7.47. Then, I will do the MIR for $2 and my effective cost will be $0.46. Not bad for a bag of candy, some Chapstick and cough relief.

You can see my first visit this week to take advantage of the multitude of free after rebate items here.

Rite Aid Deals 10/12

I made a trip to Rite Aid on Sunday to take advantage of many of the free after rebate deals.

I got the following:

1 8.3 oz Theraflu Warming Cough and Cold
1 18-ct Triaminic Children's Chewable Cough and Cold
1 0.5 oz 4-way Nasal Spray
1 2pk Soft Lips Raspberry
1 .3oz Lyypmoisturizer Honey Berry
2 6ct Throat Cooler
1 1.5oz Simply Saline Baby
1 4oz Childrens Advil Liquid

All the items I bought are part of this week's free after SCR deals. I also used the coupons that I listed here. My OOP was $19.93 and I will submit for a $26.92 SCR. So, after rebate, they will pay me $7 to bring this all home.

Unfortunately, they didn't have the Chapstick Shimmer item in stock. I'll probably check another store this week and see if I can find it.

They did however, finally have in the Shout that I had a raincheck for from August. They only had one Shout, but what were willing to substitute a comparable item for the second Shout. I am going to fax in the information for the SCR, as I was told I could do. We'll see how that works out.
