Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock

I recently had the opportunity to try the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock through Tidal Labs. Since the product is designed to be layered under makeup, I took it up to my bathroom and began to use the product as soon as I got it.

I must say that I like that it has an spf of 70. The moisturizer that I normally use only has an spf of 15, so this is a great improvement to the level of protection provided to my skin. I like that I am applying a sunscreen while in my bathroom. Normally, I would apply my regular moisturizer and then as needed, I would use a tube of sunscreen for the face and apply it on the go. By applying it in the bathroom, I am using my mirror and I feel like I am able to get a more uniform coverage of the sunblock on my entire face, even at the hairline. In addition, because I am putting it on first thing in the morning, I am protecting my face from the start of the day. With regular sunscreen, I normally don't think to apply it until the heat of day, but by then, I have had some sun exposure (with the minimum protection of the spf of my normal moisturizer).

The one drawback is that since I keep it in my bathroom, I don't tend to have it handy to reapply later in the day. I don't typically worry about it too much, as on the average day, my time outside is limited and on the weekends, when we are out, I tend to bring other sunscreen with me and use that.

I like the light feeling of the sunscreen and have been using it in lieu of my normal daily moisturizer (I still use my evening moisturizer at bedtime).

So far, my experience has been positive. I have been satisfied with the feeling of the lotion on my skin. Unlike some other sunblocks I have used in the past, I haven't experienced any breakouts as a result of using the Neutrogena UltraSheer Liquid Daily Sunblock. It seems to be working - I haven't gotten too much sun (no turning pink or red) on my face since I have been using it.
