Menu Plan Monday

Is the weekend over already? It was a good weekend. I didn't do anything big, but we did do a lot of little things, which is always a good thing too. The kids spent time playing with PlayDoh - I think it has been a couple of months since we pulled that out, we played a few games of Life, my son got to go outside and play, my daughter took a nap both days - that never happens!, and I did a little bit of organization, a little bit of relaxing and a lot of laundry. I also made some bread in my bread machine. It was an easy recipe for white bread. I will have to share that recipe this week.

Part of organization was my husband going through some stacks of papers that were in his office. In one of those stacks was a bunch of recipe clippings from the paper, magazines, and who knows where else. He sorted through them and got rid of the things that he didn't think sounded good and we narrowed it down quite a bit. I now have a stack of recipes to try. If we like them, we add them to the cookbook, if not we dump them. I am including four recipes this week in our menu plan. If my family deems them to be successes, I will post the recipes for everyone else to try.

A quick trip to the store on Sunday to pick up essentials for the weekly menu was the shopping I did - the only time I left the house (or at least the property, I was in the garage and driveway) this weekend.

Sunday
cereal
leftovers
Stuffed Peppers Casserole

Monday
Chicken and Noodles in Roasted Red Pepper Sauce (new recipe)

Tuesday
Three Cheese Spaghetti Pizza (new recipe)

Wednesday
Cheeseburgers on the grill - it's supposed to be in the upper 30s and sunny.

Thursday
Chicken Cutlets with Sliced Baked Potatoes (two new recipes)

Friday
Roasted Shrimp and Tomatoes

Saturday
Pork Tenderloin with Mashed Potatoes

Most days, it is cereal for breakfast for everyone. As for lunch, my son will either buy or pack, based on the menu for that day. I tend to pack. My husband will do a bit of both.
