CVS Scenarios - week of 10/10

I'm not sure if it is real or perception, but lately I just don't feel like there are many rush out to get deals from CVS. There are a few deals that I am entertaining this week, but nothing that convinces me that I must get there. Although free (or near free) cards sound good to me.

Transaction #1
3 - American Greetings Cards @ $.99

Total $2.97 OOP, earn $3 ECBs. Alternately, if your store doesn't have the $.99 cards or you just don't find ones that you like, you could pick up 3 cards at $1.99, use this $1/3 IP and for a net of only $1.97 could have some cheap cards. This coupon is not good on $.99 cards, so you can't use it above to do a money-maker.

Transaction #2
4 - M&M Candies (I'm hoping they have some Pretzel ones - Yum!)

-$1.50/2 M&M IP
-$1.50/2 M&M IP

Total $7, pay with $3 ECBs and $4 OOP, earn $3 ECBs.

Transaction #3
5 - Lipton Ice Tea

-$1 $1/2 Lipton mfg coupon
-$1 $1/2 Lipton mfg coupon

Total $3, pay with $3 ECBs. Earn $1 ECB.

Transaction #4
1 - Dial Bar Soap 3pk

Total $1.88, pay with $1 ECB and $.88 OOP. Earn $1 ECB.

For the trip, the total OOP is $7.88, with $1 ECB to roll, for about $20 in product at sale prices. A savings of about 62%.

CVS $5 Challenge
Skipping the candy is the easiest way that I see to get to a $5 Scenario.
