What a busy weekend! My daughter and I left town for the weekend to go to a family wedding, that she was a flower girl in. It was a great time. I had planned to do some grocery shopping before heading home, but got a call in the morning that my son was sick, so I skipped that part of my trip to head home. He is doing better now, which is good - who wants to start summer being sick? Since, I didn't do any grocery shopping this weekend and we are rather busy with sports and evenings with friends this week, the menu is very basic using a lot of pre-prepped options from the freezer.
This week, as you can guess, there is once again turkey in our menu plan. There is ground turkey in the lasagna and the meatballs and we will include turkey sausage with the Pierogi. The cheeseburgers next weekend will be turkey burgers. I did speak to the nearest Super K and they were going to order in some of the unseasoned breast meat; unfortunately, they said it will be $6.99 (and my "free" coupons are only $3 off). Now, all I need to do is call to confirm and make the drive up there, before my $5 off of $25 coupon expires.
Lasagna (made with meatballs)
Pierogi and sausage
Spaghetti and Meatballs
Weekdays breakfast is at daycare for my daughter, the rest of us eat cold cereal, frozen waffles, oatmeal, toast or whatever strikes our fancy. Lunch we pack, usually leftovers for me.
