Mamavation Monday

It was a great week! I was able to live life, and still exercise and eat right. It resulted in 2# loss this week. Minus dinner out last night, it might have been more, but I am pleased with a 2# loss.

By the end of last week, I reached my goal of running the full lap on every other lap. Unfortunately, it was raining this morning (and I seem to be getting a cold back), so I didn't get to run today. Instead, I did the 4-mile Super Walk from the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home series. In general, I was able to work out every morning. The only exception was Sunday, which I took off by choice. I hope that by Wednesday that the weather clears up and I can continue on my running and see what my next level is.

I had dinner out, I had catered lunches, I had a picnic, I went out for Happy Hour. I have to say that I am in control of my portions, as I was able to participate in all those events and not exceed my average calorie needs and was able to lose weight.

My daily (or near daily) tracking has really helped me stay on target.

This post shared at Mamavation Monday. This week's sponsor is Quaker Oats and they ask: What qualities do you look for in a healthy breakfast? Any go-to breakfast recommendations for a busy mom? I look for a breakfast that is filling and will provide a good start to the day. I like a good cereal or oatmeal with fruit to get my family started. If I am looking for protein, I find myself turning to a protein shake.
