Well, we had a wonderful and busy weekend. The business crept into Monday, and hence, the reason that I am posting my Menu Plan Monday post on Tuesday, instead of, well, actually Sunday.
It was my daughter's birthday party this weekend. We nearly wrapped up finishing off a new section of our basement - the contractor is coming back for a few finishing touches this week. We treated my daughter to a Princess Day - more to come on this one - she had a wonderful time and it was nice to spend a whole day with her, doing things that she enjoyed. We had her party, which included lot of family and friends and a turkey with all the trimmings. With some family staying with us for a few days over the weekend, we have lots of food left and the menu this week includes leftovers - some as they were, some dressed up a little differently.
brunch out with family
Leftover Turkey and trimmings
Open Face Turkey Sandwiches
Meatball Hoagies (or perhaps just Spaghetti and Meatballs)
Chicken Patty Sandwiches and Turkey Noodle Soup
Breakfast is cereal or oatmeal each morning, although sometimes at school my daughter will have pancakes or french toast. For my son, lunch is either the menu item at school, a packed lunch with some type of sandwich. Lunch for my husband and I is typically sandwiches, frozen meals or leftovers.
