CVS Deals - 5/26

After learning that there was a hidden deal on Neutrogena sunscreen, I decided to head back to CVS to take advantage of the deal. I had planned to complete the Neutrogena Sun Care/Sunless Tanning deal (buy two, get $10 ECBs) by purchasing two of the Neutrogena Baby on Sunday when I stopped, but they were $11.99 each. I just wasn't sure that I wanted to do this at that price. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed overpriced to me.

So, in case you haven't heard, there is a 1 oz. size of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 55 that are working on the deal. Priced at only $1.99, these are a moneymaker. I found them in a little plastic tub sitting on the counter at the pharmacy. I didn't see them anywhere else in the store. Others have reported seeing them on endcaps at their store or in the trial size section.

Here is what I got:

2 - bags Gold Emblem Candy
2 - Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 55, 1 oz

-$1 $1/2 Gold Emblem Candy, Nuts or Cookies CRT

Paid $4 ECBs and $.96 OOP, earned $10 ECBs. The cashier looked at my receipt when it printed and said something to the effect, even with those little ones you got the ECB. I told her where I found them, knowing that she has previously indicated taking advantage of deals (like when the machine generated the $1 on GE Nuts daily and they snack packs (99cents) worked and you could get free nuts) that I had completed.

I improved my ECB position from $15.98 to $21.98. A great week, if I must say so - between my two trips, I nearly doubled from $11 to $21.98, and picked up a number of things that we were in need of (plus candy, which I always "need").
