CVS Scenarios - week of 1/18

I am still trying to pick up some of the monthly deals. The store I normally shop at doesn't carry the free after ECB items and last week was just too cold to go out. Otherwise, there are a handful of things that I will likely pick up.

Transaction #1

2 - Throat Coolers

-4.99 BOGO coupon IP

Total $4.99, earn $9.98 ECBs.

Transaction #2

1 - Nasogel
1 - CVS Allergy Relief

- $2 Nasogel IP

Total $9.78. Pay with $9.98 ECB adjusted down to $9.78(or pick up a filler for more OOP). Earn $7.99 and $3.79 ECBs.

Transaction #3

1 - Tide
1 - Cottonelle Moist Wipes
1 - Herbal Essence

-$1 Tide Mfg coupon
-$.50 Cottonelle Wipes Mfg coupon
-$1 Herbal Essence Mfg coupon

Total $12.46. Pay with the $7.99 and $3.79 ECB from transaction #2 and $.68 OOP. Earn $3 ECB and $1 ECB.

Pick up some items that you need or hold the ECBs to start you off next week.

Total OOP is $5.67 with $4 ECBs to roll.

Since this exceeds the $5 challenge rules, here is an alternate set of scenarios:

CVS $5 Challenge

Transaction #1

2 - Throat Coolers

-$4.99 BOGO IP

Total $4.99, earn $9.98 in ECBs.

Transaction #2

2 - Tide

-$1 Tide Mfg coupon
-$1 Tide Mfg coupon

Total $9.98, pay with $9.98 in ECBs from transaction #1.

Another deal worth checking out is the Pepsi/Frito Lay deal - spend $20, earn $10 ECBs. I think we are good on soda, but if not, will be taking advantage of this deal and submitting for the $15 in coupons rebate.
