Don't Forget - Museum Day 2008

Enjoy Free Museum Admission on Saturday, September 27. You can check out my original post to get more information and participating locations. In my area, there are Children's Museums, Art Museums, Historical Museums, and even the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that are participating in the event. Please note that each admission card you print is only good for 2 people. So, if you have a crowd, make sure you print enough admission cards for everyone to get free admission.

A great opportunity to explore a new museum with your family.

I'm commenting here because it's the top post; I'm hopping over from Rock in my Dryer. I am a part-time teacher, which means that I do get time off every 9/10 weeks, but it also means my paycheck is pathetically low for working 35 hours per week (yes, that's part time). I do feel much less frazzled than I did when I worked 5 days, and it really does help me get things done at home. My husband is helpful, but when one person has two days to at least go to the store and do a little laundry, the whole house feels a little less taxed. I love my current schedule.

But, there are certain social disadvantages, lest you dream about the ideal life of a 3- or4-day work week. I get in my mind that I can do things with friends on my days off. And yet I don't have time. My friends get in their heads that I don't "really" work full time, and extend less grace. All in all, God gives us the energy and strength for whatever situation we find ourselves in. Prayers for you!
